FUN TO TALK is a private clinic of Speech-Language Pathologists in York Region. Services are not covered by OHIP but may be funded by your Extended Insurance Coverage. Please check with your insurance provider for details. All FUN TO TALK Speech-Language Pathologists are registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) Receipts from FUN TO TALK are issued with your therapist's registration number and credentials for easy submission to your insurance company.
In addition, numerous charities provide financial support for eligible families and the costs associated with therapy. Check out President's Choice Children's Charity and the Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity.
The Ministry of Community and Social Services provides a direct funding program for low to moderate income families experiencing extraordinary costs associated with their child's disability. Financial support through Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities may be available although it typically does not cover Speech Language Pathology services directly.
The Federal government offers a Disability Tax credit to individuals who have a severe or prolonged impairment in mental or physical functions. A prolonged impairment is defined by CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) as a disability that is expected to last at least 12 months. Fill out this form if you wish to apply for the credit.
